True, think this is the case with many cars of this age nowadays given the value of used motors, the parts are worth far more than the whole

B7 RS4 pedals were a direct fit into my dbw B5, think the fitment problems were with earlier cars with a cable throttle.

Cheers guys, It was a hard decision but the car needs a full front end repaint after hitting some rogue wood on the motorway damaging both wings and putting some big chips in the bonnet, it's just not worth spending hundreds on it when it would only go for a grand or so.

It's been an enjoyable and at times emotional 9 years but time has come for the passat to hang up its boots!! Nope, it isn't normal. But is very common, the original sender was notorious for giving poor readings so vw updated it with a newer spec one. The old one has a black body, the updated one is green
