another common fault is the wiring plugs behind the passeneger front kick plate. I think it is the grey plug which runs to the bonnet switch. if you get water corrosion in this it can cause false alarms.
A diagnostic scan should be able to tell you the last 5 alarm triggers to narrow it down.

Volkswagen Individual radio
Has anyone got any information about Volkswagen individual radios? I saw one fitted to a 55 plate polo dune, looked like a becker unit and sounded a lot nicer yhan the standard gamma.

Re: B5 alarm is goin nuts
have a look behind the kickplate at the front passenger side. There are several multi plugs there and if there is any water ingress the plugs are prone to corrosion. I think the grey plug relates to the bonnets switch circuit.

TDI Tuning.
I have just purchased a 1.9 tdi b5.5 wagon. It is only a 100bhp version and could do with a little extra oomph. I have been looking at tuning boxes on ebay and a few tuning companies but the prices go from £30 to £300. Dont want to spend a huge amount but want it to actually do something.

Isofix retro fit?
Does anyone know if you can retro fit isofix brackets to a B5.5 estate? I know you can with mercs but not sure about VW. Thought I would ask around here first.
