my 2001 passat sport 130 tdi, i have seen they seem to come with different codes, also will a 6 speed off a golf/bora/seat/audi fit etc, or which ones will, ebay eems like a cheaper option than getting mine rebuilt

seem to have a hissing noise coming from the bulkhead drivers side? sounds like releasing pressure/water when i park up after a drive? b5.5 tdi btw

had it looked over and the head gasket is fine, they put a tester on it, sucked up some water from the expansion tank and basically said if it stays blue its ok if it goes yellow its *no swearing*!

cheers mate, i've just replaced the water pump, a bit pee'd off to say the least, enough so to warrent me selling it once its sorted!
am i ok still running the car for short journeys if i keep an eye on the water level, or will it cause more damage, or is the damage already done as i have been ...

think my head gaskets gone, or going? keeps loosing water, and i've been running it with a *no swearing* water pump, didn't know this until i had it checked over, had the water pump and cambelt replaced, now its using lots of water, needs toping up a lot, any idea's on what this is going to cost ...

forgive my ignorance but, what car do you have? 13.21 1/4 mile in a passat is some going by my reckoning, more details please, engine, spec etc, i took my mates 309bhp classic scooby up the strip and got 13.2, and that car shifted!

once you have the bumper off which is the longest bit due to the amount of screws its just a case of draining it (while having a drink) then a few more screws and a couple of clips on the top and bottom hoses the pull the top of the rad out then up then in reverse job done

just looked on ebay and radiators on there are around £40 delivered, thought they would be much more than that, thought £60 was cheap! is it a difficult job to do yourself? any guides on how to?

got a leak on the radiator i think, i have used radweld as a tempory measure on my old clio williams, ended up staying in there for 3 years or more without any problems, is it ok to use on a passat pd 130 as a "tempory measure"

Well, i rang a mate, who knows a lad who works at vw main dealers as a mechanic, so he put me onto him to check my car over, turns out i know the lad myself! so dropped the car off with him, a few hours later, its back good as new with a new mass air flow meter on it, £140 notes, not bad i thought ...

thanks for your comments folks, i run 225/40/18's, its what came with the car, i'm not to fussed about mpg, more the car still being practical, i think i'm going to go for it, but may try jom coilovers for around £200 off venom, seens as there only 5 minutes down the road, worst scenario i can ...

As title please, i'm thinking about putting some rokkor coilovers on my passat sport estate b5.5, but i'm a bit concerned about how it will drive seens as they are so cheap, i know a few on here have got cheap coilovers, any regrets? do you wish you hadn't or are you still chuffed with them?

snap! i'm in the same boat mate, i rang up the guy i got the car off as he said he had the other key and he has sent me a 2 button vw keyfob that lights up but does nothing, and the kek on it is not the same as my original, wonder if it can be used in any way?
