Re: Boost gauge on a TDI
Hi jamie
It's really easy, getting the wiring might be the tricky part, but as for plumbing one in, just get a hose-tail brass connector and tap it into the intercooler charge pipe. Its that simple.
I had one on my Leon TDI

Fair enough lol
Another tip is keep some cable ties handy to hang the caliper on so you dont put too much tension on the brake cables

Re: Power Cable installation help
Yeah its quite easy really. Heres how I did it: 1. Remove the battery and the case/cover 2. Look down near the back of where the battery used to be, next to the fuse box. 3. Find the grommet with a few wire's going throught it 4. Tape the cable to a cut down coat hanger (the wire ones) 5. Poke it th...

Pedal covers and footrest cover's
I have a crack on the dead pedal in my 'sat so was thinking of putting some pedal covers on.
Am I right in guessing that the pedals are the same as the MK5 Golf's?

Re: What should this button do?
It should just unlock the boot. Try it by not unlocking the car but pushing, and holding, the boot release button on the fob. If the boot dosnt unlock then yeah, your's insnt working. lol

Re: passat 2.0tdi 170 bhp problems
EGR valve was it?
Could be, it used to cause issues on my old car first I've heard of trouble on these though.
I think you need a full VAGCOM scan to get some error codes

312mm brake disc's to 345mm?
I was just wondering if anybody has put bigger brakes on there b6?
What would be involved in changing the front disc size to 345mm from the SE's 312mm?
I take it the bigger caliper would be needed?

Re: Equivalent wheels
I thought b6 brakes were 312mm? or 345mm? If so I highly doubt 15" will clear them.
It's close on the 16" wheels I have on.

Re: What should this button do?
It just unlocks the boot. For example if youve just pushed the unlock button once on fob, unlocks drivers door. If the car is locked and you push the boot release button the fob, it only unlocks the boot, and as soon as you shut it again it locks automatically. So dont leave your keys in there if yo...
