Head unit wiring won't fit :(

My better half got me a single din dvd head unit for christmas, but when i tried to fit it today i had a real problem getting it pushed in properly, due to the amount of wires, plugs and a big black box at the back of it. Does anyone have any tips on how to get it all tucked in? I have a B5 with cli...

Re: Heater not very hot.

The heaters in my Passat are red hot within minutes, and the temp gauge doesn't get out the white in this weather, but my Supra gauge sits bang on halfway, and has wee poor heaters even after a recent new 'stat and coolant flush, go figure :-?

'Turbo's fixed!!

It's been a while since i've been on here but thought i'd share my news. I was convinced all was not well with my 20v T, and fitting a boost gauge confirmed that the turbo wasn't working. So anyway. long story short, the wastegate flap had liberated and destroyed the cat box, partially blocking it, ...

Re: After market alarms

Thanks for replying, is it just the alarm horn you disconnected? I'm also confused about the (lack of) auto window up feature, and comfort control module, is this something that can be set with vag-com, or should i go for an alarm with a window up module?
Cheers

After market alarms

Is it ok to fit a rcl alarm to a B5 without interfering with the factory alarm system? My key (2 button banjo style) is buggered and i reckon it'd be cheaper to buy an alarm and use that rather than getting a new key. If i could disable the original alarm that'd be even better :esm

Re: I'm looking for a thread...

Cheers guys, 'quite a handy post imo B-) . 18s look well naughty with a drop, but i think i might just go for 17s since i won't be doing anything with the suspension any time soon, maybe with spokes that extend to the rim to give the impresion that they're bigger (well it works in my head anyway! :p )

I'm looking for a thread...

I've searched and searched, but can't find the thread with members wheels and suspension pics. I'm just wanting to see how 17 and 18 inch wheels look on a B5 with standard suspension B-)

Rounded sump plug

I put some oil flush in the car today with the intention of changing the oil and filter, however thanks to my handywork, the slightly rounded sump plug is now circular  . Has anyone got any ideas how i can remove it? With the oil flush in the engine i don't really want to drive it to a garage

You're right! I was browsing wheels and noticed a trend in prices and suspected that they were reps. I went on the audi site and configured a car with them lol

Re: alarm help required !!

Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the boot mounted alarm "horn" with an actual siren? As others have said, it's not very loud, and i imagine its's just a 12v signal that activates it?
