so my mates bought himself a 2.0tdi b6 and hes been told its an engine out job to do the DPF..
is this true?
theirs a few places local that will map it out but im wondering can it be a DIY job to remove the DPF gut it out and refit it?

so yesterday I finally got round to fitting my FL S4 rear calipers I also fitted my rear braided hoses. im still wanting to give everything in behind a lick of black paint but had none at hand and I needed the car mobile again. I got the front 312mm brakes fitted today but never got the braided hose...

you would need to use your own hard lines from your calipers though as I used them on a car.

Or what trim level golf had these calipers, would a brake line hose for a mk4 golf work? no ideas on the size but you would need a banjo fitment for them to seal properly you could use the mk4 golf front flexi pipes but you would need to check the lenth of the h...

yea Im sure the mk4 golf has a banjo fitting on the front caliper hence its a bigger hole.

so I spent Thursday with a grinder with a wire wheel attachment on it cleaning up the rear calipers and all the carriers and was going to fit new seals and dust covers to the rear calipers. got them stripped and all ready to start rebuilding them to discover I had been supplied the wrong seal kit :c...

A friend took her wee fiesta in for an mot and it failed on front pads / discs and a noisy rear wheel bearing.. I ordered all the bits then started the work to it the following day. whipped the front wheel off and the pads I took off had only a few mm shy of the new ones!! the discs also looked fine...

A tuning box will not give you 30bhp on an AHU and a remap will struggle as well, bigger nozzles without doing anything will give you more than a tuning box and then add a remap on top of that and you could see 130bhp plus. Nozzles would be the first thing to do, forget the tuning box. Im with you ...

I had a 2002 330d msport sitting in the drive with 115k and a wrecked engine.... it got weighed in on Friday...

Just done the 312mm conversion to mine last weekend. Managed to get the front calipers, carriers and new front discs and pads from a V6 which was being broken locally.
