I thought that was caused by the dmf. As it wears it gets worse i believe. dmf wont make the car rock i dont think?? i had a golf that was on its way out and just made a noise that went away with the clutch pressed and a avectra that was so bad it could be heard from over the road screaming and gri...

when sitting in the car and its ticking over it starts to feel as if its bouncing
its ticking over on around 800rpm slight pedal to increase to around 900rpm and it stops also push the clutch in and it stops let it back out and around 10 seconds later it starts again any ideas ??

Here is the problem im having not all the time but quite alot of the time when i start the car and go to reverse of the drive the handbrake wont release unless i press the button also does it when driving forwards at times which is dangerous when sitting at traffic lights also when i pull up i can p...

have the electronic handbrake servos been on recall as they supposedly run the battery down ,someone on another forum said have yours been checked but looking at the recall list online i cant find any such thing on there ??

having test driven the car im getting i have 1 question the handbrake i understand how you press the brake peddle and then the button on the dash but what about steep hill starts ?? you cant move your feet quick enough to brake press the button clutch then accelerator i see it says use the auto butt...

steering rack leaking
My steering rack is leaking from the right hand end as you look at it is there anyway it can be fixed or do i need to get a replacement ?? the reservoir is totally empty now and the steering is rock hard to turn
how far could i drive it before the pump would be affected ??

when im driving my car and going around left hand bends a sort of grinding whirring noise comes from the drivers side wheel
also on full lock its starts to squeal and the power steering is really heavy to turn
any rough ideas on what it could be

i have a filter this is the seal that looks like black liquorice im sure it goes under the filter housing underneath but im not 100% where abouts under it it goes as there is a piece of foam around the opening attached to the metalwork
