Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
If I disconnect the motors physically will the lights drop? Leave them electrically connected so fault won't show intermittently on dash and any signal sent for them to lower or loss of signal won't change the light!? Next thing is there a Light Control Unit Module for levelling other than the two s...

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
If only one headlight is defective and the other is working as it should, I would be inclined to go for the levelling motor in the headlight itself, Item 5 in the diagram: 460941000.png If you are feeling keen you could swap them over, if the problem changes to the other side then you have proven t...

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
The levelling motors are proving hard to find! The rear cover only comes off the turning Halogen/park light easily. There are no connections behind it and I see no motor. So I'm presuming it's behind the cover that is tucked away and can't be removed without taking the light out or removing the wash...

They turn very slightly side to side also have Halogen that comes on when slow speed turning (reflector at about 90 degrees).

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
Well replacing front and rear sensors didn't sort the problem. Seems to be linked to the steering input somehow. No dash warning. Turn right and the lights go down then left and back up again!! The lights go left and right and dip/main OK. So until I can fathom out what's happening, I'll have to dis...

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
Error code 00323 (G384) Vehicle inclination sensor which I thought I had replaced (actually part of the alarm system behind dash not the rear axle) so if I can find the connector for the headlight motors I'll try and disable that. Looking like a wiring/feed problem. Haven't used the car much and rec...

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
Calm down... So you know there will be no errors? I will do a scan. I can try disconnecting both headlights but would rather fix than fudge. More effort for both lights than sensor? Also seems likely to be a bad connection because of warning, then not bobbing up and down. As if sensor disconnected (...

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
Didn't sort it. Going to try the front one next. Strange because there was no error showing then 2/3 way on our journey it flashed up headlight in-operable, then went off and the lights went down like they did when rear sensor was disconnected. They stayed down but didn't go up and down like before!...

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
My son went out in the car the other night and it was both sides.
He removed the old levelling unit from the rear and I've ordered a new one. So hope it sorts it, only £25 so no big loss if it doesn't.

Re: How do I disable H/L levelling?
Well back to the levelling issue! Not used headlights much until this evening and it's now bad, up and down constantly. One side only I think so Headlight rather than sender? Think I remember seeing sender/unit/plug at front also?? So can the levelling be disabled through unplugging? Or VCDS? Trial ...

Bi-Xenon Side Lights help
I've the Bi-Xenon Headlights and want to replace the side lights with LEDs (Canbus friendly). The orig T10 / W5W / 501 wedge bulb is in a white holder, I can see through the lens, but it has a plastic paddle/holder from the rear. I can twist this so far but it doesn't want to come out. Not sure how ...

Re: Fuel cap stuck closed
Can you hear the actuator when you pull the button? Replace blown fuse or pull the switch and short the wires. If still nowt then actuator probably.
If you can hear the actuator then try loads of wd40 round the cover.
Failing that a good wack with a 2lb hammer!
