I will have to get it up to have a look. Hoping for something obvious. Not really sure about buying used one.

So i was replacing an injector, which all went well really. While i was at it, decided to replace cam cover seal which i bought from Darkside. Now i got a leak which looks like by the tandem pump. What is the secret with these seals? Its all torqued as per specs.

I mean if i select 1st gear and slowly bringing the clutch pedal up to bitting point without any gas, it vibrates. Is this matter of clutch that need to...

Re: Rear Lower Control Arm to Hub - bolt torque value

Yes, items 11 & 12. There you go then. 90+90 degrees. Should be done with wheels on the ground, but what i do is jack it up under the control arm to your normal ride height once the spring in place and do final torque. Be careful taking the old spring out when lowering the jack. It can suddenly...

Re: Could be a broken spring?

You will have to get a new drop link because you will end up using a hack saw or mole grips. Thats what i have done.
Have a look on youtube how to remove struts on vw mk5 golfs or b6 passats. You will find the best method for yourself.

Re: Anyone know a good garage in Suffolk?

Its interesting why Contitech and Dayco timing belts come with new studs, but Vw genuine kit does not. Probably Vw wants us to buy them separate, knowing them... mine is coming to 200k so belt is due soon. Was replaced 4 years ago with 160k

Re: Rear control arm (wishbone) replacement

When you say how do you get it installed what do you mean? The bolts / washers are available from VW and also online at some suppliers / ebay etc. For an older car they may need to be cut off as the bolt seizes in the bush sleeve on the inner ends. A hacksaw or 1mm cutting disc will quickly go thro...
