Re: Do I need new calipers?

If I needed a new left caliper - I may as well get a pair of 312mm calipers

To upgrade from 288 to 312mm would I just need:

New calipers (312mm)
New discs (312mm)
and new pads?

Thanks

Josh

Re: Do I need new calipers?

If I bought the car parts from gsfcarparts? Are discs sold in pairs? (or do I need to add 2)

Would I need a caliper fitting kit?
The site doesn't seem to say which caliper I would need? (Would I need to ring them?)

Re: Car broken - help...

Found the problem - it had knocked off / damaged a clip near the front right meaning the pipe wasn't connected properly - we've got it fixed back on now - but will need a new clip. But at least we can get home :)

Car broken - help...

I was turning in a road and the kerb was higher than expected and I ended up banging down the front left of the car - and now the car struggles to accellerate, it will stall, and will struggle to get to 30mph, mpg is awful now 6 or 7 mpg, and sometimes the car will rev but the car wont accelerate, t...

Do I need new calipers?

Hello, About 6 months ago (5000miles) I needed new front brake pads because the front left had completely worn out (while the right was still fine)... the brake had stuck on, and the garage said they cleaned / unjammed the caliper, but it looks like it's doing it again... the left is wearing much mo...

Which new VW would you buy?

If money were no object, which new VW would you buy? Personally I'd love a Scirocco, but think it might be a bit too small for the family, so my next choice would probably be the Passat CC, but can't decide on engine, and am confused as to why they don't offer a 170PS TDI engine? and I'd love an R36...

Re: Mk4 TDI Detail - Leather and paint correction - no 56k!

Wow! That is IMPRESSIVE!! Would Meguiars Scratch X do a similar job to get rid of the scratches / swirls on my car? I have a wool spinny thing that attaches to a drill - would this be suitable for applying the scratch x? (and at what rpm?), or should I apply it by hand? How much would it cost to get...

Re: Another ordinary looking Estate :)

Yeah I think the alloys look quite good - obviously not very cool or "bling" but they should do the job (while I refurb my 17" as seen in my sig)... the only problem with the Audi alloys I have at the moment, is the tyres they've come with - Michelen Primacy HP - they seem overly soft...
