Re: 2002 1.9tdi sports suspension

Thank you maclee, I did try the dealers they’re obsolete with no stock here or Germany. I replaced all the dampers about 3 or 4 years ago. I’ll try searching using the part number. Thanks again

That said, I have read so many threads here saying that Eibach springs are excellent that I have no ...

If you support your engine from above its really not too difficult of a job. It can be done in a few hours

One of my front springs has snapped and I can’t get one from anywhere can any one suggest good aftermarket ones that won’t lift the height and make it feel like a boat, I did get some Audi A4 springs the same length but they lifted by about 10 mm and are really soft Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I split a Mazda 6 headlight the same way but cleaned all the old poo off then just used clear silicone to put the lens back on, over the winter it has stayed condensation free

Re: how to I remove rear door lock?

The pin is actually 2 pins a small one inside a large one, you have to push the small one out then the big one, be careful not to damage the plastic window runner.

Re: cruise control fitment

I did my brothers 2003 130tdi sport at the weekend the worst bit for me was getting the red/white wire out of the white connector once that was done it's quite easy. it's just a time consuming job though.

Re: door lock

I had the same problem with mine i stripped the lock down which is fairly complicated and re soldered all the connections in the lock it worked fine for a few months but ultimately it failed again, the only real cure is a complete new lock which are 80-90 quid from VW worth it for a stress free life...

In Answer to my own question yes the petrol turbo lock carrier fits like a glove in fact they are the same part number
the bottom tube that carries the intake air from the turbo to the inter cooler is different but mine was ok anyway
thanks everyone for your input :-bd

It should

the smoke test is full throttle for 1 second at the most this was the advice from VOSA
