My Passat has developed a water leak but only the drivers side is wet, but when I say wet I mean water is above carpet level!!!! I had water dripping on my feet whilst driving the other day!

So far I've sealed up the doors and am in the process of stripping out the scuttle to see if I can spot any ...

It will be getting good runs minimum once a week so not worried about the DPF clogging up.

We do need the space, child and dog!! Want a derv as it a 200 mile round trip to see parents ;(

Not a massive amount no but it's a factor for me when considering one, my mrs wants a tiguan but I've found a better spec'd passat for less money

What you derv guys getting round town?? Looking at a tdi 140 and auto trader quotes 35mpg??

I do long distance in it, quite god on fuel on a long run, just pants around town.

Was really fussy with buying one and this one has had all the options ticked.

Passats are defo not made for drag racing!

Guess it may be worth it for the extra mpg?

It's an 2003, the engine is an AKN, think its tiptronic as I can use it as a manual?

Thinking about getting my v6 mapped but not sure how the auto box will cope? Any one out there with mapped auto??

Only lower with sport suspension I think, thats the only thing mines missing

What make coilovers u running? Are they for the v6 TDi or just a b5.5?

Just read all 12 pages mate! Like what you've done, wish mine was a manual so I could tune it up. What coil overs you running? As soon as I saw your oil leak problem I was thniking o ring on The bottom of the turbo, mine started leaking after a week of owning it.

It doesn't no, sometimes like once every 3-4 months it's hard to get it out of park. I know what you mean about playing it safe, it's defo on my list of jobs. How many miles do you get to a tank?

Picked up Lemforder arms yesterday, they've got the vw Audi marking machined out so there defo gen!! Passenger done In under 3 hours, that's what I'm talking about!!

And regarding a re-test, they won't do it even though I told them I've been to hospital!! Getting a discounted MOT though so not all ...

I've xenons too and the blue tube next to the white lights look pants!! Good call about not running any, have never driven on just sidelights
