Hi mate, KW do coilovers for your car as do AP etc. If you need details and prices let me know as I can supply these to forum members with discount.

Re: AP coilovers or BC Racing coilovers?
But with all that adjustment, there maybe more for people who are fussy about how there car handles, right to the finer details. If you want comfortable, practical, no hassle fitting and drive coilovers, get APs height adjustable ones.

Hi Zeb, personally I would recommend the AP setup. I was running group buys on both AP and BC coilovers, so let me know before you buy mate as I can do deals to forum peeps!

Re: HID & MOT
I think it's mostly down to common sense, for example I have a 1994 Audi 100 which had regular headlamps with H4 bulbs fitted (twin element dipped & main). The lighting was pretty poor to be honest, so I wanted to upgrade my lighting for better visibilty and safety. I use the motorways everyday for ...

Re: Self-levelling dampers?
Well personally I don't know the difference for sure, but I would expect the damper for 'self-levelling' would look slightly different to a standard damper. I believe they would have a external reseviour attached to the side of the damper or something to pump fluid into it. So in terms of looks they ...

No it's not as standard, but it might have been an option perhaps? n007's car hasn't got self levelling suspension.

Just a word of advice mate, don't fit springs from another model or variant of car onto yours. This is not right, be safe and do it properly.

Re: Aftermarket HID bulb/light questions
The connector plug thats part of your car's existing wiring loom will be connected to the ballast of the HID kit, disconnect this and plug straight in to the back of a halogen bulb if thats what you want to do. The ballast, HID bulb and its wiring should now be free to take out.
Hope that makes sense

Re: B5 B5.5 LOWERING ADVICE
Hi,
Yes this should/would soften up the feel of the ride, but you can't go lower than 40mm on standard shocks. Uprated suspension kits have shorter dampers to allow for lower ride height. Just worth bearing in mind...

I that case you won't want to be going too low either. If your shocks are in good condition then just replace the springs, this will be fine as long as you don't go lower than 40mm, anymore than that then it ...

i had the problem with 2 cheaper kits off ebay for months on my audi. when i put the new canbus friendly kit in it was fine. when i looked it up about the canbus, it's the system that tells you which bulb has gone on the car and which light. with the hid kits because they use a lower watt system ...

Re: Flickering aftermarket HID's
I've found some passat b6's take the kits well and some don't
Even after vag com changes I had issues and NUMEROUS kits!!! But fitted to other passat b6's fine with no changes and some with issues again!
To be fair it's not worth the hassle
Buy good bulbs...
Surely this can't be right can it ...

Re: Flickering aftermarket HID's
i had this problem on my audi a4, its because these cars have a can-bus system on them, if you buy a kit that is canbus frindly it stops it. you can buy i small black box that goes in the power line before the hid box but it didnt work very well for me so i bought a new kit.
