I had similar symptoms on an old Porsche 944 .I know its an entirely different car, but the culprit after much messing around was that the cambelt was one tooth out.
For the sake of pulling the cam cover off thats where I'd start.

RNS315 retrofit - VAGcom help needed
Hi chaps, ive installed a rns315 headunit in my 2009 passat. It has the white mfd. Everything works except the controls on the left of the steering wheel. Looking around it seems I need to have BAP enabled in VAGcom to get it to work fully. Has anyone done this? Can anyone help me out with this? I'm...

Re: Lumpy and slightly fast idle.....
Im 99% sure its an active regen. But mine is trying to do it every few days which seems rather often. I have therefore put a double dose of forte dpf cleaner and a diesel cleaner in. Hopefully this will help. I do a lot of motorway miles so I shouldn't have problems going forward - just need to blas...

Re: B6 2.0 tdi 140, CR DPF Highline Juddering...
Is it fumes you can smell or is it diesel? The wetness round the injector could be from the leak off pipes. This would not cause your symptoms, at least io don't think it would, but it wants sorting and I think is about 2/10 on the difficulty scale. Sounds to me like it wants a session on VAGcom to ...

Lumpy and slightly fast idle.....
Hmmmm, it seems I have a minor problem. This first roared its head on Friday. I'd come to a stop and the engine would hold revs at just under 1000 and there would be a shaking/misfire. the car drives perfectly ok, revs well and has power. I filled it up with diesel (Would only take £20) and the prob...

Re: Do I have Bluetooth?
Thanks
Ive tried all sorts but cant get it to work. Pressing the phone buttons twice doesn't get a beep or anything. There is no keypad.
So I don't think the car has bluetooth. This isnt a huge issue as I have a Parrot kit salvaged from my Volvo and an aux lead.

Do I have Bluetooth?
Hi chaps,
Just bought a lovely 2009 Passat Highline.
But I'm struggling a bit with the bluetooth, and im wondering if the car actually has it!
I have the phone button on the steering wheel.
The radio has a bluetooth audio bit in the menu.
But my phone doesn't see the car!
Any ideas?
Thanks
