Many thanks for that.
I suspect it is the "master" cylinder at the pedal as there is fluid on the the unit. Currently waiting for a new one to arrive so I can change it.

Clutch slave cylinder OR not?
Can any of you knowledgable folk tell me if there is a way to actually check the clutch slave cylinder is kaput before I order a new one? It's the "external" type so only 2 bolts to get it off. Usual symptoms, pedal on the floor but no significant loss of fluid anywhere. Also I still have ...

Re: Is this mod possible...
If you look at the picture of the lights I have made the bottom of the lights a straight line (similar to the later golfs etc) rather than the dropped circle of the current lights.
Hope that clarifies. Didn't realise quite how subtle it was.

Is this mod possible...
So I have mocked up a rear light mod for B6 estate and wonder if anyone has done something like it or if it is even possible?
It's the one part of the exterior styling I really don't like on the car.

Re: Parking sensor help desperately needed...
Sooo it turns out my 2007 Estate must be some sort of cross over year as the there are no wire plugs on either side of the boot space. What there is though is a small connector block on top of the wheel arch just under the plastic vent grills that sit next to the load cover when it is on. These conn...

Thank you so much.
I found that thread too but was confused as I hadn't got the trim out yet.

07 Passat 2.0 FSI SE Estate Please for the love of god and my sanity can someone point me in the right direction? I fitted rear parking sensors, bumper off, drilled the factory sensor markings the whole thing BUT I can not figure out how to wire in power from the reverse light which is in the boot d...

What a cluster *no swearing*!
Literally a cluster *no swearing*! I thought I saw a good deal on a full hight red lcd cluster (mine is the pathetic, why did they bother, half hight job) so I nabbed it. A little bit too quick of the mark though wasn't I because it looks like it's a diesel and not a petrol as it only revs to 6 and ...

So I bought a Passat!
Yup my Swedeish shed got dead so I had to replace it with a Teutonic Tourer. I'm now in a 2007 Passat 2.0 FSI SE and I am attempting to learn EVERYTHING I can about the oh fiddlesticks! before the big family camping drive next week! So far I really like it. I've already pulled the trigger on a full ...
