2007 2.l no turbo petrol - Exhaust fault lamp - Code P0403

Hi all, got a new light on the dash and a new error code to boot. Any experience in dealing with P0403 on a 2007 b6 passat 2.0l fsi (no turbo model). Was just there when i turned the car on today. Any idea if its a costly fix?
Thanks

Probably not changed from new. Car is 20k miles so I'd say it's due.

Re: Check Engline light flashed orange, car juddered.

EDIT: I should add that I have checked the manual and it says engine exhaust gas fault but what exactly does that mean? Ive seen the cat mentioned a few times online when googling but its still not clear. Also if it was a faulty part then surely the fault light would keep popping up? This was the fi...

Re: Clutch Issue please help

Thank you, brake fluid was fine. No signs of leakage around the master cylinder or slave cylinder. Assuming its something I can't see. It's with my mechanic now so hopefully its nothing too difficult for him to work at. As long as it can be fixed without a whole new clutch, I'm happy. Sent from my S...

Clutch Issue please help

Hi all, Just now my car has stopped being able to move. Began with the clutch pedal alternating between stiff and slack and then not being able to change gear unless rev matching. Then the car wouldn't go into gear at all. All within 20 minutes and no prior indications. Clutch pedal now just feels s...

Re: Regular ticking/clicking Noise

Update: Seems the noise has vanished once the oil gets up to temp. It was ticking every 0.5 seconds or so, not extremely rapid like normal engine noises.

Regular ticking/clicking Noise

Turned the car on this morning and i heard a clicking/ticking/chirping noise coming from the direction of the timing belt housing.

I had the belt changed a couple of months ago but this is the first I've noticed any noises.

Any ideas?

Re: Naturally Aspirated to Turbocharged - 2007 2.0l FSI SE B6

Only had this since May and its only 12k miles so not getting it swapped. It'll do for now. 150ps is plenty. No idea if its the model with seal problems or carbon build up. May very well be. How do i avoid or negate or fix these issues?

URGENT: COKE LEAKED INTO MY CUP HOLDER

So coke has leaked an entire can into the cupholders of the center console. I cant see the rest of the liquid and only some was left around the rubber covers. Where the hell has it gone? Is there a drain out somewhere or is it just swilling around inside there. See the photos for an idea. How the he...

Naturally Aspirated to Turbocharged - 2007 2.0l FSI SE B6

So. I've been curious. What would it take to install a turbocharger to the stock naturally aspirated engine on an 2007 2.0l FSI SE petrol? Not so much a matter of cost, but what would be required in the upgrade, besides the turbocharger itself. Currently car is 150bhp @6000rpm with 200nm torque, wha...

Best choices? Any recommendations? Currently looking at ClimAir as it seems a local place near me fits them for free and why not save the hassle. So yeah. Any advice?

Re: 2 Issues? Pulsing whirring from front left wheel at 60+mph AND alternator whine.

Yeah I understand, its important to be aware of it all. I was lucky getting it, the story behind it is this. Seen a couple cars in one place. Tried a different place to see a Renault laguna. Went there, laguna wasn't there he was getting the door locking fixed (typical renault electronics lmao). Sho...

Service history is present. Will send what I have later. Only 10k miles, prev owner had it from new and serviced every year. Some years only doing 400 miles. Last service year before it sat im unsure of. I think it was 2015 or 2016, doing a couple thousand miles between those years. Then it sat unti...

How much would it cost for a timing belt change then roughly speaking? Also if I had to loosen the alternator belt how much would that be?

Re: 2 Issues? Pulsing whirring from front left wheel at 60+mph AND alternator whine.

I believe the dealer checked the timing belt and it appeared almost new, he did show photos. I have yet to replace all four wheels though. Possibly connected to the wheel issue is that on certain road surfaces it can feel a little, jittery... like its running over lots of rungs or something. That th...
