Hi Guys,Ive just bought a 1997 1.6 B5,it has a recent mot on from January however when cornering on roundabouts its like a barge!!!will standard shocks from say a 1.9tdi give a stiffer ride than standard 1.6 ones?

Problem solved.the shocker was leaking fluid and was not doing it’s job.however I did see another problem I don’t know if it’s an mot failure maybe you guys might know?the rubber place mats under the spring are all split and squashed.is it a mot fail?

I’d have a drive along to that to meet and chat to fellow Passat owners
