Very pleased with mine too. Is yours a manual box ? The only worry to date for me is a slight roo when l reverse out of the garage when engine’s cold but driving otherwise seems ok. Hope this is not going to develop into anything !
The 1.5 engine is smooth and responsive on the motorway.

Blimey that is quick. Mine took weeks to get from factory to UK.
Nice motor though, very comfortable and the 1.5 engine is, so far, performing well. Just need to get used to the clutch bite point.

Picked up my new Passat today, a 1.5 TSI manual.
Drove it the 100 miles or so home. Everything seems ok so far, but l guess a cold morning start will be a better test.
A great motor, and the info system is a lot better than on my 2016 Passat.
Has yours settled down ?

You shld get yours reasonably quickly because with the facelift due soon VW will be keen to process orders for the present B8 as quickly as possible. My problem has been a long delay at Emden dock - 6 weeks - waiting for a ship but motor now in UK. Whether the delay is connected with the “roo” issue...

Thanks. Hope VW get that sorted. I experience similar in my Ford Focus which has a 1L Ecoboost engine. Fine on the move, but can be a bit juddery moving off in 1st.

Still waiting. Been at Emden waiting for a boat since 10 March. Extraordinary.
Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the 1.5 engine. Moving to that engine from a 2.0L diesel.

Me too. Car built about 2 weeks ago but waiting to be shipped.
Mine’s headed for Glasgow so will presumably go to Tyne Port.

That’s good. Mine is build week 25/02 so shld arrive in UK before we leave EU. Don’t want any extra tariffs !
A little disappointed to miss out on facelift but the current B8 is a good motor.

Mine’s been “with factory” for about 5/6 weeks !

My present Passat saloon is Pearl’ Black and have to say it looks fantastic when polished. Very classy.
There’s not much colour choice for the Passat, and just went for a change with Silver.

I went for Black Pearl’ originally but asked my dealer at the weekend if l cld change to Pyrite Silver Met’ ! Car still at stage 2 so hope that’s possible. Not got a build date yet, and suspect delivery will be longer than usual 10 to 12 weeks.
Asked dealer how that might affect trade in and was told the figure on the order form wld be honoured.
That’s some comfort, but l will have to shell out for MOT.

Getting on to my dealer tomorrow. Sense it’s down to facelift.

My Passat order has been at stage 2 for 4 weeks.
When l ordered a new Golf 3 years ago it went from stage 2 to built within 4 weeks.
Not sure what’s going on at VW.
The facelift Passat expected to debut at Geneva in March.
Wonder whether that has anything to do with delay.

I’m no engineer but for keeping a car looking its best l don’t think you can beat putting in the hard graft yourself using the right kit.
