Re: eBay K04 turbo upgrade?
Yes thats correct, the ebay turbo are cheap and nasty, ive heard of problems with them holding boost or even porducing boost in some cases. Go to cr turbos they quoted me £650 for a K04-015 to fit almost straight onto my passat, just havent got round to buying it yet!

Well uprated injectors are in the pipeline as is various bits and bobs I will benefit from it as im after 250bhp plus. Most remaps above phase 1 would end up blowing the KO3 turbo in due course anyway

I want to upgrade the turbo on my passat. It currently has the K03 fitted as standard. I read somewhere before of people fitting the K04 I just wondered if anyone here knew the turbo number or where to get them from? Is there any major modifications to be done to fit it??

Re: winter is coming
I have just given mine a wheels off clean. Cleaned inside the arches, I use mer trim and vinyl cleaner which seems to repel winter road crud, Coppa-slipped loads of bolts ( those which I am likely to need to remove ie wheels) so they don't seize, and put a little bike chain lube on the hinges.
