hi dand25 thanks for reply mine is just bad starting when it does start its fine pulls like a train apart from the bit were for a few seconds it seems to die like goes lumpy for a couple of secs like it has a missfire then goes ok like nothing was wrong again but starting it can take a while it can ...

thought i would just add i have had new glow plugs fitted a few days ago but this has made no difference....

hi i have a vw passat 2008 b6 highline estate 20TDi ...i am haveing problems with it starting hot and cold i can start it some times it starts first go right away other times i try it fires i let go of ignition fob it stops other times it takes a while to start a odd time i have had to stop turning...

new electric motor 30quid on ebay just need to get seal as well as only get moter i got one last week....but you prob need vds to reset i dont know as i reset mine anyway.

thanks for that info dubber36 i would change it but im going to get another vw i want a auto rather than man...but will keep the radio you recomended in mind just in case the vw i get has something like the one i have now....
