Re: GT kit really hides the rot!
I got them from http://www.carz2.co.uk/ they has them all in stock except the passengers side sill which they had coming in with the next shipment, I had to wait a week for it but it was no problem, very easy to deal with.

Re: GT kit really hides the rot!
Any repair pictures? No repair pictures yet but the car is going away this weekend to get the work done , so hopefully it won't be too much longer. I have been using my Nova to get into work this last month and with the cold weather and the salt on the roads I would say as soon as the Passat is bac...

Re: GT kit really hides the rot!
If you can, keep as much of the factory metal as you can and cut the replacement panels to fit the rusted areas on your car. The reason I say this is pattern panels are made of thinner, cheaper metal... I can well believe it, the new panels don't look to be brilliant quality, at least they will all...

Re: GT kit really hides the rot!
Does anyone know if the rear wheel arch panels on a B3 estate are the same as the ones on a B3 saloon?
The guy at Imperial says they are different and that they don't do any panels for the estate, but I don't think he is right.

GT kit really hides the rot!
My B3 GT failed it's MOT on Friday. All the mechanical stuff passed no problem but he found a hole in the sill he wanted me to repair. I took into it today and removed the sill covers and rear arches to see how bad it was. It turns out it was very bad indeed. Every hole down the sill corresponds to ...

Running problems, B3 GT, 1.8 8v.
I'm having running problems with my B3 GT. It idles really badly, bouncing from 500 to 1500rpm and there is a hesitation in the power delivery. Not a hesitation that you have to wait for they power but that know they power is coming in you can feel it fade away and then come back, it happens quite q...

Balls. I bought a load cover a few months ago that I haven't got round to fitting yet, I though I had all the parts but I don't have those brackets for the top of the suspension mounts.
Anyone have any for sale?

Does anyone know if B3's ever came with heated washer jets?

Thanks

Thats great news guys, I thought I was going to be in for an expensive fix. I'll try cleaning it out over the weekend. At least if it doesn't fix it I'll not be out much money.

1.8 GT, engine keeps stopping.
I'm having a lot of trouble with my B3 GT, the engine keeps stopping. If I'm rolling up to a junction and I'm off the throttle and I have the clutch in the revs will drop away to nothing and the engine will stop. It happens all the time, almost at every junction and it will happen twice or 3 times w...

Re: Car treasure hunt, anyone done one?
We did one last night with my motorclub, we call it a "scatter" though. We use it as a way to train new members how to work with a map and to work together as a crew. It's the first step on getting them into navigation/road rallies. Whoever is organising the event just picks points from a ...

Noticed that my carpets were getting wetter, I'd already sealed the windows, door skins, door seals etc. Couldn't work it out. A man I know suggested it might be roof seams. (oh hi Jeremy) What would he know... Did this sort out your soggy carpets? I chased a lot of leaks around my B3, still haven'...

Re: fuel sender unit?
I think the fuel sender and the fuel pump are all one unit so you would need to change the fuel pump to change the fuel sender.
