Had exactly the same issue. Turned out rubber seals round boot hinges had been moved. Cleaned them off wiped round actual hole and pushed back into place. No issues since.

Hi. My key fob is faulty. It locks the car, opens the boot but will not open the car so just the opening is a issue I have used the blade to open the car and it starts fine. My spare key has been tried but none of the buttons work but it will start the car! Odd. Please help?!! Regards I had similar...

Hi there I have just recently bought a 2007 Passat and there is a led button on the drivers door pillar about twelve inches up.
