Re: The B6 Project!
Update: Went to a friends garage today and got my US city light turned on via VCDS. Also he had a look at my third gear not engaging sometimes and he reckons it probably down to the clutch pressure plate. So next up is a respray on a piece of flaked off paint on my A pillar ( Maybe might get a full ...

Re: The B6 Project!
Youre welcome newb, I also said a lot of pertinent and experienced things, consider it a test, one you failed. Careful Gaz, he might think leading by example is right, or you could be banned. :hyst The fact is some people cant separate "scene" and reality, and worst of all, they cant lear...

Re: The B6 Project!
I was reading a thread on here recently I believe it was vwnutants thread. He put 19" 3sdm's 8.5 and 9.5 width on his b6 passat Think he's running coilovers too. What you guys think? So I should get new top mounts and bushings aswell if I do eventually lower the car?

Re: The B6 Project!
You mentioned youve seen nice wheels with the rim poking out, is that a stretch tyre setup. Then you specify wider rims under consideration than can be safely fitted under the arches, more or less. Then you reference a video of a daft car on air with stretch tyres. Those things appear to mean you w...

Re: The B6 Project!
Renew the conrod bearings . Eibach Pro kit springs with Bilstein B4 OE Sport dampers , if firmer preferred , Bilstein B8 . And if lower is required Eibach Sportline springs. All the relevant new top mounts , bump stops etc , rear bushes that give the uneven rear tyre wear . 17 / 18" max with 7...

Re: The B6 Project!
OK for a car show , it'll drive like a three legged pig with that much rear negative camber . Increased unsprung mass affecting the mpg , acceleration , damping thus ride quality and handling . Not to mention the boxes of Kleenex for your tears when the exposed rims mate with a kerb / pothole . Jus...

http://www.ukpassats.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=86619 Thanks for the heads up I'll look into it soon. So I'm thinking about what my wheel setup is going to be and I need some advice. I think I'll be going with 18" wheels and a nice flush fitment or slight tuck on the rear. Also what w...

Re: B6 Passat - no 2 - Vwnutant
Incredible car transformation!! After recently buying my passat b6 and seeing this thread I have a list of mods to get me going. I do have a couple questions for you though, my first being, how did you make the brackets for the numberplate holder on the lower grill part? Seems like a silly question ...

Passat B6 1.9tdi Slam Panel
Hey guys, I'm looking to replace my B6 slam panel as the plastic is broken in front of the radiator and my headlight tabs are all snapped on the drivers side after the car had a bang. I'm wondering is it all bolt on bolt off job or is welding required? And also does the rad need to come off or does ...

Re: Buying a damaged Passat B6 questions!
Not sure on engine code, going back to look at it tomorrow where abouts is the engine code? As for reliability is the 1.9tdi engine in the B6 not the same engine they used in the B5?

Buying a damaged Passat B6 questions!
Hey guys, I recently went and looked at a Passat B6 which has some damage to the front end. The damage is on the drivers side corner and looks mostly cosmetic (no damage to radiator or anything engine related I think) and it starts and runs. Its an 06 Passat B6 Highline with full beige interior. I'm...
