Possible to Sell on a Ross-Tech VCDS?
Hi, I bought a "Ross-Tech VCDS HEX-V2 USB Home Plus Bundle (3 VIN)" off https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VCV23B.html , but used it once on my B5.5 now sits unloved in a box. Anyone know if it's possible to sell these on? I can't recall how the licensing works ...and are there any intereste...

Assistance in Interpreting VCDS Logs
Hi, Whilst my 2004 Passat Estate (appears) mechanically fine there are a few electrical gremlins, as such I bought VCDS and took it for a run it up last night - cleared the existing logs and after a re-check this is what was found. I'm still extremely new at this and wondered if anyone could help in...

Re: Remote Central Locking Locks, but Not Unlock
I had the same issue with mine, every so often I would have to open up the remote fob and flex the metal prongs that make contact with the battery. Used to work, then in the end I replaced the fob as it was the soldering that has failed and all is well again. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202108...

Re: Front Suspension Bushing Replacement
I wouldn't worry, mine has a 5 there. If you're doing the job yourself, make sure you search the forum for tips etc, loads of info on here. Main thing is the pinch bolt, needs lots of penetrating oil and patience Sent from my SM-G770F using Tapatalk Thanks for all the help and advice, the Passat ha...

some mentioned the B5.5 being 3BZ_3_ which confused me as mine has a 4 in that position

Re: Front Suspension Bushing Replacement
You will need 16mm balljoint then. There's 2 different sizes 20mm and 16mm. Sent from my SM-G770F using Tapatalk thanks - I did wonder, currently trying to confirm with the seller based on the VIN number. Hopefully that will go better than the CV joint replacement - based upon the VIN the number of...

Front Suspension Bushing Replacement
Hi, Just had the CV joints replaced on the B5.5 Estate and whilst it was there I was advised the bushes in the multi-link front needed replacing - along with a bolt that would be need to be replaced? Sorry for the lack of info I don't quite have the vocabulary (and knowledge) and hoping someone has ...

Remote Central Locking Locks, but Not Unlock
Hi, Had a check of my CCM and is dry - wasn't always that way and sourced a replacement awhile back but in the last couple of days the remote central locking stopped unlocking the car, however locking still works. Also worth noting that when using the drivers manual door lock with the key I can trig...

Is there a recommended way of getting VCDS? I've seen various things on eBay and via Google and some of the pricing varies wildly.MiniMental wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 12:13 pm Use VCDS to read codes in the CCM convenience module and it should tell you what’s setting it off.

B5.5 Estate Tailgate Lock Core Hanging Out
Hi,
Somehow I've just noticed the tailgate lock core of my B5.5 is hanging out - whilst I'm curious how this happened I'm even more so about how I can securely put it back in for working operation.
Thank you,
Dan

Boot Release Weirdness
Ok, following on from my 'Alarm Woes' https://www.ukpassats.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=97942 I think my problem is more related to some odd boot release behaviour so wanted to concentrate on that. I think the alarm is doing what its meant to do and the boot is causing it to freak out. In sh...

Re: Alarm Woes
right, got everything lubricated and had a proper play around and I think its all related to a boot release issue but I'll probably start a new topic as I think the alarm is just doing what its meant to do and is clouding the issue.

Alarm Woes
Hi, I've got a Estate 2004 B5.5 with some alarm issues, it all started that on occasion we'd unlock the car and upon entering and turning on the ignition it would report the boot was ajar, and indeed it was - almost like unlocking had also released the boot as we were positive that it was correctly ...

thank you, all that should prove very useful... believe I've got the triple square tools, I had to do an entire door transplant albeit quite some time ago now so will need to brush up again before starting.

5 year warranty . yeah, I have to say whilst not a bad thing it wasn't a selling point for me. getting your money back, whilst having a door that won't open still leaves me with a big problem :) purchased on the basis of 90k feedback at 99.7% positive and they actually look like a parts supplier ra...

Re: Passenger Door Intermittently Not Unlocking
is the locking motor built into the catch assembly? I had wondered if too much pressure on the catch release or even just a wd40 squirt and pray into the mech might sort it out?
