Re: sensitive throttle
Any idea how you go about doing that? I wondered if it might be something like that as battery was disconnected for about a month while i did the clutch.

sensitive throttle
My 2006 2.0 fsi 200 has developed a very sensitive throttle, in that you only have to move it a little bit to obtain full revs, makes trying to drive smoothly a bit of a challenge, fuel consumption is the same as before, and no warning lights showing, This has happened since I changed the clutch and...

bolt torque
Busy doing my clutch, and seems that most bolts need to be torqued to a certain figure + 90 or whatever degrees, does this apply to re used bolts or just new ones? are they stretch bolts? seems a f****** stupid idea, why not just give a higher torque figure?

Is there something wrong with 'techniclutch'? shopping around for one for mine and they are considerably cheaper than anyone else for a branded product(LUK)

Rough idle
Took the car out today, (2.0 fsi) and the idle was as rough as hell, really hunting, under power seemed like normal, and drives ok, Good old Google suggests it may be the PCV valve ? did what was suggested and put finger over small hole on valve, and could feel suction which apparently I should not ...

Re: still overheating
Interestingly I was looking at the handbook for an entirely unrelated reason and I read the page regarding the gauges, apparently the normal operating range is up to 120degC, and the warning light will not come on till that temp is exceeded, so I may have been panicking for nothing! still seems to b...

Re: still overheating
VCDS shows no faults on cooling system, thermostat come pre assembled in the housing so impossible to put in wrong way. Original problem was car taking ages to get to normal operating temp, and sometimes not getting there at all, certainly cured that problem!

still overheating
My 2006 2.0fsi est was overheating when stuck in traffic, I have replaced the water pump, both thermostats and both temp senders, before I did this work it struggled to get to full temp, which it now does, and runs at an indicated 90 degrees until I get stuck in traffic, when it rises to 110 and I h...

Re: 2007 B6 2.0l FSI SE Saloon 9500 miles
It would be useful for people new to the brand, and use of 'autodoc' and the like to have a list of makes of parts that can be trusted, and ones that should be avoided, Anyone?

I have a 2006 2.0FSI 147kw version, and have come to the conclusion that the thermostat needs replacing as on a cold day, temp gauge doesn't go above 70, Have looked on several sites such as autodoc (never used before) and loads of different ones are listed, dif temps, dif shapes etc, so how the hel...
