Re: B6 (CC) front end vibration, clunk/pop

I was occasionally getting wheel vibration. I had new tyres fitted and balanced, but it kept coming back. ... changed the wheel bearing, but it kept coming back. ... I was depressing the clutch whilst it did it to see if it was the gearbox etc. Turns out my caliper piston was pressing on slightly an...

Re: Front lower arm won’t separate from ball joint assembly

I changed my wheel bearing 3 days ago. In all honesty after removing the nuts and a whack on the studs from underneath, it came apart. The awkwardnes was getting the right angle to separate both parts. Mine is totally standard though. Using the jack sounds a good method[emoji106] Cressa Sent from my...

Re: Switching the interior alarm sensors on?

I believe it only sounds if you alter the settings on vcds. I did play around with this in trying to sort mine. Unfortunately I still haven't repaired mine yet.
Hopefully someone with a working alarm can chip in on this

Re: Switching the interior alarm sensors on?

How do you do this? I had a few mice in my car and they didn't set off the alarm? As far as I am aware, everytime you remote lock the car the whole system is armed. You switch the sensors off by pressing the button on the B post when leaving the car. But this only works for one time. Try sitting in...

Re: B5 Part Identification

Do you have the TAPATALK app for this forum. It is really easy to reply and add pictures using that. Be interesting to see how yours is broken. I do have that part available on my car that I'm breaking if you can't repair yours.

Re: Thinking of a change...

I bought a B6 a few months ago and although it may be more refined it isn't the reliable b5.5 pd130 sport estate I had. This one is a pain and ticking time bomb. My old one did 208k just through normal servicing and only went bang on the clutch/gearbox as i viewed it as an uneconomical repair. In hi...

George, I've just taken the one out of my car I'm breaking. I don't suppose postage is cheap, so you can have it for a five plus the postage. .. just a thought as it will only be going for scrap soon.
Working fine

•Close drivers door
•Lock car using fob
