Coding a new key - '07 Skoda Superb

Hello Cousins :ymhug: :-h Long time no post! My B5's still going strong, but I haven't owned it for about 18 months now. I still see it regularly coz a mate owns it, even if it's still referred to as my car ;) I'm pretty settled over on Briskoda with my 2.5 V6 Superb, which I love to bits B-) and wh...

Re: Gym membership cancellation

I think you'll find they lied to you when they said you had to wait until month 12 to hand in your notice. Did you sign a contract that says '12 months'. If so your contractual obligations (including any notice period) end at the end of the 12 month period, as there is no longer a contract in place ...

I had a great time. Took a shovel just in case which was just as well as I had to dig my way through a snowblock. Got some funny looks from the 4x4-with-chains-and-snorkels-brigade

Re: Squeeling Noise

What's the meat on your brake pads like? You need to have a look to see what your CV gaitors are like in case they're not secure or damaged as you shouldn't really expect to find grease there after a joint change. Not a usual noise from a CV (if there is one!), although it could be a retaining clip ...

I wouldn't hesitate to tell the Police. It's not okay to have your car damaged. I can see your dilemma, and I do understand - my sister in law's in Hollingbury, and we have the same over here. But it's a further dereliction if we shrug and let these things happen. Shooting the f'ers and feeding them...

Re: What got you into Passats?

I inherited a modified Mk2 Valver when a mate passed away in 2002. Never owned a VW before that. But I liked the way it was put together and how easy it was to work on. Legroom's a real issue for me. Theres a surprising number of cars which I can't get in even with the seat right back, and often wit...

Re: New to Passats - B4 advice needed!

Nothing wrong with an auto. I have one, but mine's a TDI so isn't really comparable on mpg (averages early to mid 40's). My last 2.0 auto averaged around 28mpg (Honda Accord), but as Lawsy said, if given too much beans it was easy to get below 20  Expect a bit of a reduction in performance ove...

I have an old flip key if you want one to experiment with. Probably not right (came from a '98 20VT) for yours, but okay for learning how to take apart.
