Regarding the spare key, pretty certain you'll need to find someone with ODIS online to program it for you due to the generation of immobiliser equipped.

Is the centre bolt still there? Or is it gone/slightly loose? There's not normally any issues with these pumps apart from the shear plate wearing its splines when the centre bolt that locks it to the shaft becomes even remotely loose. Maps are only available on SD card, so you're pretty much stuck with this unfortunately. Available cheaper on Ebay than direct from VW.

The newer B8 Passat maps are different (as well as the infotainment), and cannot be loaded on the B7 systems like the RNS315 or RNS510.
