Theres definitely something missing from your coding.

Did you only enable optional equipment fitted to the car? If you've enabled all of it and doesn't have it, it can cause issues

If you mean the plastic belt cover, its not. The crank seal sits behind the toothed wheel on the crank

Depends what engine.

For instance, if its the cambelt side of the crank on the TDI, its just a seal, no cover or housing.

Have a look at the link. You'll need PC and a blank SD card for them to do the work. No cable or coding necessary, they do all that.
