When upgraded my b6 Passat to a RNS315 the DAB was just there all I did was add a DAB Ariel £10 on eBay?

Yes but what about there being no spaces and just a many unused disabled spaces? It could be argued there are the proportions in many cases are wrong... also...
People who take up two spaces, really annoying.

I have fitted the RNS315 DAB in my B6 and it's brilliant. Streaming music from my phone, nav, Bluetooth and Dab is a must.

Yes I have discovered the only way is to go into setup and set nav volume to zero. Bit long winded but it works.

Hi, thank you for your reply. That does reduce the sat nav voice volume but it still interrupts the radio, media etc by muting it, that's the problem. You would think that by turning it right down to zero it wouldn't interfere but unfortunatley it does? Maybe you need the steering wheel controls fac...

Sorry for delay. I'm not familiar with this unit at all. Is thi would have thought that a nav unit would have aux as standard?

Is it a VW nav unit? If so it is either the RN510 or RNS 315 if so they have the facility you need.

Yes 40mins is possible if you are fully set up for it and experienced. It me about two hours in two bites but well worth the trouble. I don't understand why the 510 seems to achieve the money they do compared to the 315?

I have just replaced my RCD510 dab with a RNS315 dab for £275 and fitted myself. Very please as now have Bluetooth, music streaming and nav for little money.

I unplugged mine as well when trying to fit a Bluetooth adapter. My mechanic plugged in his diagnostic and fixed it in two minutes. Light gone!
