Hi. I would write down that serial number on a bit of paper and then take it to a vw dealer. I do think they should have some kind of data base and should be able to give you some info.
If the above not working,than i would find contact details of vw in Germany and contact them with serial number ...

Hi. It could be overboosting and that will put it in limp mode.What year is your car,engine code,etc. Do you have any fault lights on your dash?
Which vac pipes did you block? Are you getting enough vacuum to your turbo actuator? Have a look at actuator rod and take off vac hose then put back on ...

I have a genuine set of sport springs in good nick, you can have them for 25 quid plus postage if it helps you, cheers Rod.

Is Blacksmoke a member on here? I would like to get and ecu like this. So if i am right,than i can plug mapped ecu and if i ever need,i also can plug my old unit back? That mapped ecu can have an egr delete done too,right? Sorry if my questions are a bit duff.

Was thinking about it also. My previous passat was sport spec and now its se and i dont like how its performing on the road,my sport was much better even with bad shocks. I had a look in euro car parts,but springs and shocks seem to be same for both sport and se. What is solid arb?

My pd 130 only shows 28.7mpg on trip2 on my mfa,but i only driven it round town since i had it and mainly its 4 mile trip every day. I give it some booting now and again though. Is it normal to see such low figures or not? if not,than what can cause it?

I would not touch it,because it is set by factory or turbo reconditioning place and should not be messed with.

To be honest,i think that 18 inch wheels are bit to much for a car,but its only my ''mho''

I just got ronal wheels for my passat 7.5j et42 225x45xr17 they fit just fine,but i have tried wheels from my b6 passat 7.5j et47 235 r17 and they were really close to suspension,so would need spasers.

I had that same problemon my 2001 passat avf. You have to take that plastic cover,that covers brake servo,battery etc. There are water draining holes and after while,there are lots of rubbish,like leaves,deust and so on and thats blocking drains. I have cleared drain there,cleaned out all rubbish ...

I had 2001 avf before this one and it didnt mind me blocking egr,no faults.

Yep,i learnt it when blanked egr and than had fault come up. Will be doing a remap to get rid of egr.

I am thinking about removing egr and all its vac system on my passat too. Will it pass the m.o.t without egr?
