Re: Passenger Door Mirror Glass????

I had the same problem with both door mirrros - I am not sure the heavy winters have helped- I did not realise they had a heating element built in - I opted for the garage to replace the mirror with a new one and it came with the heating element - a useful enough thing to have in the winter months- ...

Re: Plenum drains blocked - a helpfull guide.

Thank you for this - I have a 2005 Passat estate diesel - my pride and joy - and I now find there is a water leakage problem in the driver's front footwell and behind the drivers' seat - I was appalled to find a virtual resevoir of water soaked up by the mat in the back behind the driver's seat - an...

Front fog lamps - Question

I own a VW Passat 100bhp diesel estate (May 2005) - I am considering fitting two spotlamps or fog lamps on the front bumper but I do not want to incur the expense of buying the specially built front bumper which VW developed with space for fog lamps. Rather I am considering two lamps either hanging ...

Re: 05 passat highline

I bought a 2005 Passat Estate last year - May 2010 It is 100bhp - it islike a Rolls Royce- really smooth and quiet. fuel economy is great - as I leave a motorway after 40 minutes driving with the cruise control on I was registering 63.4mpg - the car is a flying machine and an absolute pleasure to dr...

Re: TDi Mileage

Dear all, though the car I have just changed was not a B5 estate but the model before the B5 I have just done 350,000 kms on it and it is going as sweetly as ever- still gives I reckon 54 to 57 on a long run and starts first time. It does not really burn that much oil (only if you are doing high spe...

Re: New Member

I have just picked up my Passat estate trendline today. It has 66000 miles one owner - managed to record 57 mpg at one stage on the motorway in the slow lane at 40mph in fifth gear - was really surprised to see it record this - but even 45mpg is good. it is incredibly well equipped with both a radio...

hi, my name is Patrick - I have just joined. I have just bought a Passat estate trendline diesel- I hope to pick it up later this month. I think it would be a Mark 5.5 B Platform with the PD 100 bhp engine. It seems to have everything.
I am hoping it will give me good service.
