Re: Rear door electrics - isolating the lock

Recently I had to swap 2 of these locks but from what I remember if the connector of the window regulator is plugged in everything should work. So if you disconnect only the lock the other should work. But best to just change the lock no need to mess with cables and stuff. Just if you change the loc...

Change your ATF fluid. Had the same problem when i bought my car the oil change fixed it and the gear change becomes quite more responsive.

Re: High Beam Led

No there is plenty of space, on the dipped beam the rubber must be cut so that the heatsink and the fan of the bulb to fit. Bumper removal needed for high beam ? Any modifications? It is easier to remove the headlights, but not 100% necessary depends how skillful you are. The metal brackets that ho...

Re: High Beam Led

I use leds on both low and high beam, a bit short on the high beam but decent best benefit is the no warm up start. In the near future I will change the lens on low bean with a bi xenon ones. I expect good results

Re: AVF Semi Auto - Remap

I drive a Automatic AVF Passat, had it remapped myself since I bought it 2 years back. Since then I've done 50 000km the car itself has over 500 000km still original gearbox no repairs, only fluid and filter change. So what I mean is that the automatic is no so fast to brake as they say. Also Autobi...

Re: DIY remap files awx

On the auto/manual map, is there a big difference? Is the tiptronic up to the increased torque? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk The ZF tiptronic can hold more then the 5 speed AWX gearbox, It is mounted with the 2.5tdi 180 stock engine. If the box itself is good and the remap is smooth no prob...

Re: Yellow headlight recovery .

Before I also used to polish the headlights but the effect doesn't last long, give it 6 mounts and yellow is back :hyst
Now what I do is to sand them till 800-1000 grip paper and then 2 coats of clear last longer, and I find it easyar.
Makes them just like new!

Re: For and against egr delete

As other members said no need to remove it physicaly, it can be eesy stoped by software (if U can get the right tool), but I personaly prefer the cleaner look if removed. I like to say "If it works without it, then way". Also the vacuum lines can be removed with the valve that control it.
