I feel your pain....i had to replace my V71 motor! I had the same clicking/whirring noise from glove box area.

So had to crack this absolute pig of a job....the dredded V71 Recirc Motor!! Ok, so first clear the fault codes on the ABS module and see if those two intermittent codes change to something else? Then you could check measuring blocks (on the same module) to see if there's any life left on the G85 sensor. Does it show any numbers on the steering angle? You could try it with ...

Iv mixed them up. The full scan was prior to the job and just the copy of the ABS scan was after the job. So currently the coding on the ABS is 00000
