i was a little unsure of the roof rails myself when first re fitted.they have grown on me and look better in the flesh.

sorry mate dont think i will be painting door handles or mirror caps.dont want to over do it.15mm spacers needed for the rear and the 10s on the back now will fill the fronts a bit more.

mouldings with chrome inserts are next on the mod list i reckon,a bit of orange on the front and rear badges ,and at some point i would like some leather.

i think the chrome strips would look good too,last time priced them up they were £330 plus the dreaded from the dealers,unpainted for doors and bumpers.ouch

removed the roof rails and stripped the bars,polished them up.i then had the centre supporting pieces and end caps painted mercedes rev orange, whilst doing this had the 19 lms painted also in mercedes rev orange,and stripped the laquer and polished the lips,added 215/35/19 dunlop sp sport maxx up f...

i think the turbo cleaner is available from the net,may be available in some motorist shops.if you unplug the maf and run the car with it disconnected if there is no diffrence in the way it drives i would indicate its fubbred, fit a genuine bosch 1.

if you try the maf and that fails to fix the problem,check for boost leaks could even be a little pcv pipe under the manifold,could also be a problem with egr,and i think these also use the the same turbo as the golfs,these can also clogg up and cause sticky vanes,if the turbo is the problem and van...

roof rails on b5.5 wagon

removed my roof rails so i can strip and polish.after you have removed the roof rails do the underneaths of the end caps pull/knock out as i only want to strip the rail itself im planning on painting the ends.
any help much appreciated.

vvt stick on the turbos with diesels as they clogg up just like with an egr valve.clean it out with innotec turbo cleaner,its expensive but does work,around £40 i think.
