Have you got a pic of the detachable towbar now its fitted . Looking at getting one for mine but haven't seen any decent pics of any fitted.

I am sure there was something on VW Vortex about this . It has been done it just needs a small bit if modding. I'll try find a link for you.

I had a similar problem on my wagon. Tuned out to be wiring fault. I used martins google site to fix it.

Don't think they are a straight fit. Different PCD of 5x120

I am struggling to find a part number for genuine front parking sensors for my CC. Anyone know it or where I can try before going to the stealers.

I use alubrite, it is a lot finer than most metal cleaners such as autosol. Which means it isn't as abrasive.lasts a long time too.

There will only be 30mm difference in rolling circumference, I wouldn't have thought this would upset things too much. Speedo will be ever so slightly out but its not 100% accurate anyway. The tyre guide below will hopefully help.

I have very little road noise from my CC whether it is on 18" Conti Summer tyres or 16" conti winters. I would stick with Contis as I think they give good grip and the last set I had on the B6 lasted 50K

Porker3. Do you have any pics of them on your CC. Did you really have to wait til 3013!?

Has anyone fitted a towbar to a CC. I am wanting a detachable one so it can't be seen when not in use but would like to see one before fitting and finding i don't like the look of it. I have look at various websites but the pics area ll generic.

It was on a private plate in picture. On another one now.

I use Conti Winter Contacts. fantastic tyre with great wear rate. They come with 8mm of tread new and after 3000 winter miles they still have 7mm left on them for this year. A quiet tyre compared to some winters. I run them on standard SE alloys.

600 mile round trip to Glasgow to get it. 08 TdI 140 GT with DSG, heated leather and alcantara. Some subtle mods to come...

I ran my B6 on Conti WinterContacts and they are great. Will be going on the CC tomorrow. Wouldn't be without them when its cold.

There was a thread on here recently about this. I had this happen, it would only open from the outside. I used the slam method and it worked fine after that.

I was getting mid to high 50s from my 140 tdi estate with 120k on the clock upon til selling her last month. Mostly motorway miles at 65 on cruise. As has been said tyre pressure and rolling resistance will make a difference. It also depends on how many hills you have to go up!

Gazman, I had a similar problem on my wagon, it was due to the rust problem which B6s suffer. Does your tailgate have any rust bubbles coming through?

Has anyone tried the waterless Evans coolant. http://www.evanscoolants.co.uk/. They have a flush to get rid of the water based coolant before adding the waterless one.

They claim no corrosion due to absence of H20.
