I'll have a look at the air filter and replace if looks like it needs it. They're only about 8 quid so worth changing irrespective or whether a new one would go in in 9000 miles.

I see the vehicle specific wiring kits require running wiring up to the dash - that seems like a huge pain.

Are the universal kits more straightforward? Do you just tap into the wires to the rear lights?

What are the pro's and cons of the specific / universal wiring kits?
