Re: injectors

Jultsu, you mustn't have seen my post a couple of weeks ago, when a bmw 3.5d left my paltry 175bhp passat in a cloud of black smoke. I was crushed, and all thoughts of bv43 turbos crumbled to dust. I already fitted the fmic and have the exhaust waiting for fitting, but what's the point when perfect...

Re: Bonnet release cable snapped

I'm not going to lie, it was an absolute bitch of a job and non of the crazy methods or suggestions I found on line worked. It involved making my own tool and lots of swearing brute force and a hack saw. I'll go through my project thread and post it up here. Ignore all that I miss read your post, fi...

Re: Suspension arms

Personally I'd use lemforder or meyle hd, the latter I used on my b5.5 when I did the arms. I do think a lot of people's troubles come from how they fit them though. If they are fitted and torqued up in the correct manner (suspension loaded up not with it all hanging) the cheap ebay kits should last...

Engine mounts

Will these fit my awx

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 1422515759

The listing says they're for the afn but surely there can't be that much difference.

Re: B5.5 Boring and on a Budget!

This is how I did mine, but as you say it was only because I knew the top pinch bolt would come out. It had taken me 2 hours of constant heating and whacking and a full can of wd40 to get the bolt out previously, good job it was to replace the upper arms as both joints were shot by the time I'd got ...

Re: Tuning boxes, or not!

Just to add I had a 'tdi tuning' box before I remapped my awx. I was given it as they had sold their passat. I put it on and yes it went better but it smoked like hell when giving it some and gave ridiculous mpg figures, like 65+ mpg. I binned it and put on a map I was sent buy T2000 and the differe...

It is a faff and a bit of a ball ache but the panel can be taken off with the door shut, I had to do it last time mine went.

Any one have any experience with an audi s4 of the b7 verity? I'm Toying with the idea of getting one, just wondering if any one has any ideas on what to look for, general running cost and any problems they have.

Definitely new thermostat for Aman then .

Think it's about 6/7 mins at the moment for the gauge to inaccurately show 90 .
Sorry meant around 5 minutes longer than with the egr connected.

With thr egr blanked off on out pd 130 I did notice it took longer to warm up but only slightly as in 5 minutes or so in winter.

Re: New MOT rules regarding dpf (May 2018)

Still seeing lot of black smoking cars on the road that should be fails driven by the usual knobbery driving standards. There will still be quite a lot still not due an mot yet, and some that get them done just before the new regs were brought in. But I agree some of the cars you see makes me wonde...
