CC lowering springs, owners views request

So I’m dead set on lowering my CC, question is, and I have searched a fair amount, which springs, eibach or h&r. Want it low, don’t really want it stiffer but that’s a trade off I’ll accept for the stance, keeping standard shocks (dcc) as no room in budget to change shocks. Eibach say it lowers ...

Fog lights as coming/leaving home lights, Save your Xenons firing

https://youtu.be/Tv1HaRcHzCg So I recently acquired the appropriate cable and software to run vcds alterations. I’ve done a few things already and slowly working my head around everything, what I worked out last night was using the fog lights as the coming home/ leaving home lights instead of firing...

Rumble/noisy clutch pulling away in 1st only

CC 2.0TDI 33,000 miles. Noise appears just before bite point upon lifting up clutch when pulling away, can be felt through the pedal until I’m over a few mph then the engine and road noise drowns it out/ mixes up the feeling coming through the pedal. No vibrations or noise when driving other than wh...

Re: 2.0tdi 170bhp 2014 CC engine cambelt interval

Cool exactly what I was thinking the car could sit for 5 years not getting used but the rubber belt would be in poor condition, saying that the tyres would be just as bad if it sat that long not moving so it makes perfect sense not to risk it, still no idea where these car salesmen are getting their...

Re: 2.0tdi 170bhp 2014 CC engine cambelt interval

So I’ve purchased a 2.0 tdi cc with 177hp output. At 33k miles and 6 years old there is a rock in the service book saying it had a cambelt change last year. I reckon I’ll only do 20-25k miles in the next 5 years so should I be ok to not have the belt changed?? I called vw, they looked up my car and ...

Cc floor mats, same as passat??

As post title are cc floor mats the same shape as passat floor mats.

Where’s best place to pick up a genuine set for less than vw prices!

So maybe not a deal breaker on a low mileage 6 year old car that hasn’t had it changed yet?? Slim pickings for the right used cc that ticks all the boxes

Re: 2.0tdi 170bhp 2014 CC engine cambelt interval

100,000 miles
Or 5 years is all I got told by vw but I think they were being general to cover themselves.

How do I actually find out per car what the cambelt interval is.

2.0tdi 170bhp 2014 CC engine cambelt interval

Hi quick one what’s the service interval on a 2014 cc with 2.0tdi 170bhp engine?? What’s this I keep hearing from franchise dealers saying the new engine is 10 year belt?? What’s the new engine and when is the cut off for the old engine? Anyone have engine codes I should be looking for?

Link to options list decoder?

Hi I’m buying a new car and I remember there was a website that you could put your chassis number into and it would decode it and give you all the options on the car. Anyone know what I’m on about?

Re: CC purchase advice

Thanks for the sound opinions, I do love the idea of a 2.0tsi like you said just need to find one. Also good to hear that later engines handle regents better. I got rid of 57 plate octavia vrs PD because it was doing a regen every week due to my use, ended up having to take it for a long drive and v...

CC purchase advice

So I’m in the market for a CC or a Passat. I have around £10K budget and would prefer low mileage 1 owner etc. Facelift, R line trim, dsg, bi xenon, leather etc. However when it comes to engine choice I’m a bit stumped, I want the most power I can get, but I’m also biased toward a petrol due to my s...

Model advice sought, new car purchase.

Hello, I owned a 59 plate Passat 1.8 tsi highline with dsg gearbox. I loved the car, but the opening of the boot didn’t suit our lifestyle at the time. I didn’t own it for long but regret selling it, I’d still have one if it was an estate. So onto the main topic, I have roughly £9K to spend on a new...

Just to recap on this thread. I checked my tyres pressures tee day after I posted this. One was down at 27 psi, certainly didn't look low but user error.

Alloy wheel upgrade Highline Silver

Hi guys, so I'm really wanting to sort the style of my silver saloon Highline. Tints this week but would love a bigger wheel and less tyre sidewall. Maybe get around to the r line body kit too. Something oem preferably, like the look of the r line alloys but bigger. Maybe the five spoke a4 s line al...
