I'd serously consider retaining the anti-shudder / or shut down valve as a safety precaution escpecially on an older car. Without that there is nothing to prevent a run away engine if something should happen to the turbo. I'm gonna assume that this is the cable that gets blocked? Is there no other ...

Certainly a great peace of mind. Adds a few ticks on to my to-do list for sure.

TIme to carry out a change on the cambelt, waterpump, thermostat, coolant, snubmount, oil and filter, air filter, pollen filter.
