Sound Proofing Removal

I've removed the carpet and the underlay from the drivers side. There had been a previous leak so had taken out some of the sound proofing. Is there a method for removing the front grey sound proofing without having to remove the dashboard? Front of footwell: PSX_20210320_131818.jpg Looking behind p...

Re: Users Tips for removing water of carpets & foams

I have lifted the carpet up and the water is not bad on the carpet part (probably dry with a heat gun or hair dryer). The foam looks like it has absorbed a large part of the water (again not inches of water). I was thinking of cutting out the foam and drying it in the house and then refitting it wit...

Users Tips for removing water of carpets & foams

Hello,

Can users share their experiences with the removal of water from the front carpets (mostly the foam deadening under the glovebox) without having to remove the dashboard. I have humidifiers work and a hair dryer and towels as well.

thanks

Re: Passat B6 Estate: Water in the passenger side

Small world :-o . I took the picture when I couldn't figure out what the plastic piece was when I dismantled the windscreen cover. We've had very little rain and I have jet hosed the car a couple of times to clean it so I'm thinking the pressure hose might be cause. I think I will seal the windscree...

Passat B6 Estate: Water in the passenger side

Hello, I recently have had water somehow get into the passenger side compartment. The foam behind the glove compartment is damp and the foam at the bottom is damp like a sponge which let's water out when pushed. See pic: water-passenger-side.jpg There is no standing water probably because the foam h...

Help with part location

Hello, On trying to find a leak in the passenger side cabin I took off the windscreen wipers and trim to look for any water. On putting back the scuttle panel I noticed a part that I hadn't put back. However I cannot remember where this part should go  panel.jpg panel-1.jpg This was under the ...

Re: Help with parts

Local scrap yard unable to help and a few of the VW dealers can't find the part on there records. Maybe as it is a 2006 passat?

Have trawled ebay but will keep an eye open.

Help with parts

Hello,

I am finding it v.hard to find a couple of replacement parts for a passat estate (a bit like finding hens teeth) having looked at the usual places. The parts are the underbody lining 3CO 825 212 B 3CO 825 211 A.

Any suggestions?
