Changing job at month end and coincidentally getting a GT which will replace my current SE Bus. Looking forward to the pana sunroof, leather, auto air con, nifty active display and the optionally fitted LEDs. However, I'll miss my factory towbar, an item I'll need to address.

Yes, and the VW car manual is not exactly clear on the issue either. Works fine on my SEB version.

Don't know anything about functionality but definitely the dealers can activate it, for a fee, needless to say. I was looking at using Google version but decided it wasn't worth the cost.

Sat Nav is not great. Reasonably intuitive but doesn't take full UK postcodes. Carnet sounds better than it works I think.

That cover is typical of the cost cutting evident in current vehicles. It's rubbish quality and the side guides just eat into boot space. I'm waiting for mine to break. Barely fit for purpose.

That'll be the controller that regulates things when you change from Eco to Normal to Sport etc. Maybe that controller was acting the dick.

Yes, factory swivel tow bar is great and the antitheft facility is also useful. I use a 13 to 7 adaptor for bike rack mainly but also have a 13 to 2x7 grey black should the need arise. UK needs to wise up and use the 13 pin system.
Yes, non-folding seat bases is more of the apparent penny-pinching ...

I've completed this too and as there wasn't much room behind the glove box I tucked the plug and socket over the back edge and into it instead. Leaves it handy to unplug if required.
