Would a new snub mount sort this?

Cool, will check out the bike rack. Towbar is too far so will need to get a new one online? Anyone know who does the best price?

Are they expensive or difficult to install?

Thinking about fitting a towbar with a removable neck so I can use it with a Thule bike rack. Anyone else use or done similar? Any recommendations?

Looking for something more convenient than taking the roof rack on and off

Want to get my bonnet resprayed or possibly vinyl wrapped if paint too expensive. Any recommendations in the portsmouth area, and what would be a reasonable price to pay?

Are they difficult to change, and what symptoms would I have if it needs changing?

I would say it feels the same as it did before. I do notice some movement in the gear lever when taking my foot on and off the accelerator. It's not a huge amount of movement

I think it's all the time but will have to pay more attention to see if any difference? If there was what would this indicate?

On my invoice for oil it says - gear oil SX75W90

Car is ok, plugged sump yesterday & run with new oil. Booked in to have sump changed next week

A sump is cheap, it's just a pig of a job to change it, got the cash to have it done now so guess I might just book it in, just would be nice to save some of cash if possible. Can anyone recommend a reasonable priced garage in the Portsmouth area?

Just trying to decide if I should spend the money on having it replaced, or patch it up and keep the money for some other jobs/upgrades. Herd a lot of success stories of sumps being patched up with chemical metal and similar products

Good news, marwell coughed up. Got a cheque for just under £675. Before I send it off for repair I was thinking of patching the hole and filling with cheap oil to test the car sounds ok. I'm assuming the engine is toast due to all the noise , so guess its a replacement engine or break the car for spares and get some money back that way

How much should I expect to pay for a replacement engine, fitted?

Will give them a call today. I would have thought they would want to avoid expensive solicitors fees. I don't see why I should get stuck with all the time & expense of changing it myself.

Can u recommend a good one to use? Would the solicitor route not be much slower than the insurance route?

don't have 6 hours free sounds like a massive pain to do. Does anyone think I would have a chance at claiming compensation or through the insurance? I have heard that if i contact my insurance company and tell them what happened, it could still go down on my records as a fault claim even if i decide...

it it hard to change the sump? can i do it with just front axle stands ?

do insurers normally send out an assessor, or take the car away? If the car was a write off I would want my stereo back & wheels & tyres at least

do i phone my insurers and see what they say, or will it affect my premiums either way
