Re: Hole in my sump thanks to marwell zoo
no plastic undertray, kept falling down & doubt a thin bit of plastic would have stopped it. If I manage to get it sorted is there a steel plate I can put over it? If the sump was steel I doubt it would have punctured

Hole in my sump thanks to marwell zoo
:evil
So pee'd off right now. Car dumped oil round the car park as I was parking, thought I had just knocked the exhaust. Is my engine gonna be toast?

Re: Cleaning out PCV system
Car still running well
However the engine management light is on with a fault code of:
p0411 secondary air injection system incorrect flow detected
Anyone else experienced this, and is it easy to sort?

Re: Cleaning out PCV system
Been a while now, here's an update after the advice from the garage I fitted a replacement throttle body. I also fitted a new battery. Slightly better but still not right. It runs fine after an adaptation and starts fine for about 2 hours after, however any longer and it is a pig to start and runs r...

Re: Cleaning out PCV system
Cheers! I'll get a replacement one then
Think I better get a new battery while I'm at it too. Got a bosh silver, which is 6 years + now, and looses charge quickly now. I got it from Halfords originally but I see they no longer sell the same one, but now a Yusa silver. Are they any good?

Re: Cleaning out PCV system
Have left the car for a while as not had the time/funds to do any more. Bit the bullet and took the car to the local VW specialist as was loosing patience. They said it's a problem with the throttle body and recommended posting it to ECUtesting.com. Has anyone else used them? They said it would be a...

Re: Cleaning out PCV system
Hopefully it might just be that Any idea how hard it is to remove that part of the loom? Electrical's aren't my strongest point. I assume if I remove that part of the loom and do a continuity test while flexing to see if there are any intermittent breaks in the the wires ?

Re: Cleaning out PCV system
I'll try again, but they seem to come back. I have read that a faulty O2 sensor can damage the ECU
I have notice recently the the battery seems to die a lot easier. I have a Bosch silver which must be past it''s 5 year guarantee
