Well car back on drive and managed to jump start it there (though will need a new battery), but i think the Turbo is shot as all that came out in the couple minutes it was on to park near garage was white smoke, and while i could see no leaks, it must've burned about at least half a litre of oil off ...

The smoke was a tiny bit white at first before it was belching black. Sharp find out later today when i hopefully get the car back on the drive.

I still have to get the car recovered as the AA were quoting recovery at 2am this morning... but before i abandoned ship last night on my way home I started having a series of issues, first was a low hoover noise followed shortly by limp mode, then before i could pull over safely a lot of dark smoke ...

Ok, good to know regardless! Sometimes it does it, most of the time it doesn't now.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but did you get to the bottom of this? We have the same kind of noise in the cabin seemingly from behind the dash.

The missus was on a long run today with the aircon on most of the time i'm told.. Gas refill? how do you get that sorted (if it is that).
