Re: Intercooler oil leak
I will have a good look this weekend coming, but there is no hissing and no boost leaks and certainly no pipes blown off. Definately coming from around the intercooler, just need good light to find out where and how.

Intercooler oil leak
Hi, I have a leak coming from the passenger side front at the bottom from a plastic pipe assuming this is from the intercooler. My question is, is there meant to be oil in that area and if so can i reseal this pipe and no build up of oil will cause any damage?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

Door hinge bolt
Hi, my door is clunking fairly loudly when opening and closing. I have noticed there is a bolt missing and this is causing the hinge to clap back on it self. Does anyone know the size of the bolt? i.e length and M size for thread matching?

Re: Condensation in rear lights
There is some way the moisture is getting into the light unit. If it was bout from VW and moisture is getting in then the units are faulty and not sealed correctly.....Take them back and get some others and if they are faulty they obviously have a bad batch and needs looking into.

Re: Front end rattle
Yeah I have taken the engine cover off, but the housing around the air filter seems loose and flimsy, not sure if that would make the racket that its making though!?! I can only really listen to it when im driving but when im stationary it does not happen even with revs.

Re: Front end rattle
It's only when it's under load and going through the gears, it gets faster as the more revs I use and does not get louder. Like a really fast ticking. Remember the sound of a lollipop stick in your bike spokes as a kid. That's what it's like but louder.

Hi, wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I have a vw passat 1.9 tdi pd estate 2004. I keep getting a loud rattling noise only when under load and sounds like it's coming from the driver side, I have checked the belly panel and removed it. It only started when I serviced all the...
