After doing my timing belt a while back I thought I would have a look at my timing with the free version, I am getting 0.9 btdc with a duty cycle of 45%. cheers guys , well i unplugged the wires going to the boot latch and it still happened , after checking all the doors and seeing they were fine I unplugged tthe bonnet latch switch and all has been fine , I guess driving though puddles at high speed didnt do it any good

could it be they used the wrong oil ,????? i dunno as much as you guys but from what i have learnt off here the PD oil is thinner , if they have used a different "thicker" oil it may be struggling to push it round the engine, i would have thought this would affect consumption but not throw...

and if you open the door there is a small torx headed screw that you loosen off and the whole unit would have pulled out easily rather than buggering the cap and door handle but i take it the battery is flat and you cant open the door

Ive got a Chinook Helicopter in the back of my B5 estate
as title says realy , when a rear window is open whilst going along the noise it makes is deafening like a chinook is right by my head , anyone else have this problem and what have they done about it

the lenses are plastic so its easy to scuff them over ith a bit of 1500 wet and dry , then mask them up and take them to your friendly bodyshop and ask them to blow some laquer on them with a few drops of black in it , it only takes an hour if that and can even be done on the car

a good way to measure a good car is to see how many taxi''s are bout , and theres lots of deisel passat taxi's around here , but then again there is a subaru impreza turbo taxi in wantage

mine too , ive bridged the connecters aswell and nothing happens , then ten minutes later the guage is working again , then five minutes after that it goes back to stone cold , starting to think its the guage

i am realy not getting this so help me , the thread above says that if the egr is closed ( blanked off ) the turbo will run too hot Quote " if the valve is closed - some smoke with a slight power loss increasing to greater power loss followed by a bang" so why are you guys blanking it off ...

mine is stock as i class it as a tool , i have made a huge cycle rack for the back of it and it has a towbar ,i have made a motorcycle trailer for it and even a winch that fits onto the towbar lol

i allways thouhght hazard lights were what you use accompanied by a brief flashing of the headlights to warn drivers coming the other way that there is a bright green man with a safety camera hiding in a bush

aluminium arm on a steel spindle so it will corrode on , i sometimes hold a bit of wood against the arm and tap it a few times with a hammer to loosen it off , then a wiggle and it should come off
