what am i searching for on ebay m8 sorry im not up to scratch with all this

i had to replace motor recently myself even though i could hear the motor going.Apparently its a cable that runs from the motor that snaps hence still hearing the motor but no movent on window.

Where does the water actually come from in the passenger side footwell,reason i ask is mines was wet last week.

have been told that compression is ok m8,as far as timing it was a vw mechanic that did the timing m8,now has his own garage,id like to think hes done it right but ill ask around see if any1 can check for me

Still got the hard starting issue when cold,so far glowplugs coolant sensor injectors been checked that i know of,when i get the car started from cold for bout 2-3 seconds theres no revs then it picks up,if i rev even sitting to around 25-3000 on the rev counter i hear a click ,and when i take my ...

Have to replace clutch,the question i wanted to know is,do you also have to change flywheel asweel.

What ive found out so far is if i take the connector from the cooling sensor at back of engine,the interior glowplug light on dash stays on abit longer,and is easier to start,not to its proper starting but far better than when it is connected.I know this sensor is only afew months old as i bought it ...

its been on a vag machine m8 not picking anything up,i must also correct myself guys,when i say hard starting cold or hot,thats not excactly true,as i found out,if im out in the car turn it of and restart itll restart very good,however if i let it sit say an hour then its hard to start again.

Runs brilliant m8 when started,no dosnt use oil more than it should m8,yes the hard starting has got worse progessevly m8,timing belt has been change at 100k m8 problem wasnt that bad back then

just under 120 on it i suggested that to the mechanic but he said its not so dont know m8

just an update.found out whats wrong that i go into limp mood around 60 mph,turbo needs revamp,wont know the cost till the company gets it and checks to see whats wrong with it,hard starting havnt solved that prob yet.

Yes m8 its an AFN ENGINE,only fault code i know of m8 is the booster value some call it a selonoid value which theres 2 of what ya mean compressions m8 sorry but yer talking to a none machanic lol i only drive the thing lol m8.

The cars hard to start cold or hot,change glow plugs gave it a service etc,changed temp sensor also when going abit fast at 300 refs it has no power its like it wants to go backwards,have already changed 1 boost sensor so gonna change the other 1 two,and ive noticed blue tape around 1 of the vacum ...

Looks like ya was right dave,the fuel pump was a different part number,so we have installed the old 1 again lol(till i get the money up for a good second hand 1).Seems to start and run ok though at 3000 ref youd think the car stopped going forward,like lose of turbo,had a dignostic on it says boost ...
