Had mine sorted now, got an ex vw mechanic i know to do it for me in the end. Plugged his diagnostic machine in and found temp sensor as we thought. Told me that from his main dealer days, what they always suggest is temp sensor and thermostat at the same time. I know it's obviously a money making ...

Yep, got to say having just changed from petrol to diesel, dervs the way forward for me. One thing i keep noticing agetting mentioned is remaps. Used to have a Mk5 golf GTI, mapped from 200 to 247bhp. did feel smoother, maybe possibly felt slightly quicker (although this may have been the smoothness ...

Hi guys, noticed in the last few days my temperature guage on my B5.5 1.9 tdi started playing up, sometimes works ok, then sometimes just drops form the middle straight back to cold, then back to the middle again!
