Roof Bars
Hi, I have a B6 saloon but posting here as I wasn't sure if roof bars for the B6 could be used for all Passats?
If so, can anyone recommend roof bars for a B6 Passat please? Seems like a mine field out there when looking, I don't know what fits and what doesn't

Airbag Warning Light
Hello! I lent my car to my wife yesterday as I needed her C-Max as I was picking something up on my way home from work. She rarely uses it, when she does she needs to move the drivers seat into her driving position because she is smaller then me. I believe this has caused my airbag light to come on....

Re: b6 worth avoiding?
Yes. Worst car I have ever owned. Same here. Maybe i just had a lemon but mine has been a huge headache, massive repair bills. I will not buy another VAG car again. Its no surprise that they are below average in the reliability index every year. If you want reliability then choose Japanese or Korea...

You will see lots of horror stories online because people only post about bad news, i've got a 55 B6 1.9 PD engine. It's a great car with so far no issues.

Re: How much oil does your B6 burn?
Mileage on the engine is only 29k
Was serviced last at 23k
The previous owner did 2k miles a year the whole 10 years he owned it, could that be a reason why? The engine is not used to being used?

How much oil does your B6 burn?
My oil warning light came on the other day, dipped it and it was low. Had to top it up around a litre before light went out. It was last serviced around 6000 miles ago, would you say this is normal? It's a 1.9 BKC if that helps Never had this with previous cars, although this is my first diesel so n...

Think you can buy cheap service books on ebay, not branded but at least its good enough to keep the records up to date.

Re: P0299 Loss of Power?
I don't no, I do 60 miles a day. the previous owner did though. It's only got 25k on the clock and he lived in London (it's a 55 plate) so can imagine there were plenty of short trips.
Is that an easy thing to check/fix? Where do I start?
Thanks

P0299 Loss of Power?
Hi Seems I've had my first problem today. Was driving home from work and noticed a drop in power especially going up a hill, I had my foot flat down at about 60mph and the speedo was dropping? On a flat from start I gave it a good rev through the gears and it felt as if someone had turned the turbo ...

Picked it up for £4K, probably a little overpriced but cheapest low mileage diesel I could find. Plus it has spec extras I was after
